Southern hospitality is alive and well in Savannah. We were warmly greeted at the Elks Club # 182 even though Sandi and I were the only ones in blue jeans ( It looked like a dressy affair). It was Friday night dinner social and dance. They served fried chicken or fried fish with salad, rolls and cookies. Since we didn't have an advance reservation, they made two special orders for us, Tenderloin wrapped in bacon, baked potato and Lima beans. Felt like getting bumped to first class. A group of Elk leaders and PER's adopted us so we sat at their table for dinner. We danced to a 2 piece country band and I think I saw Sandi do part of a line dance when she didn't think I was looking! We partied with our new friends until closing, Elks are the same everywhere. The second pic is southern belles painted on the ladies room stalls.
