We're already in Georgia and this is
the first chance I've had to update the blog. A lot of driving,
eating and sleeping so far. Driving all day is a whole different way
of life, you have to put the truck in forward gear and your mind in
neutral.
We spent our first night in New Jersey
at the Marlton Elks, no one was home but we plugged in and left a
donation at the door.
Day 2 we drove as far as we could but
fell short of our goal of Fayetteville. We ended up at a KOA
campground in Enfield, NC. Had to take showers in the KOA because a
fitting broke on the hot water side of one of our sinks, only cold
water today. I guess my winterizing job was not as good as it should
have been. Luckily we passed an rv store right off the highway and
they had the fitting I needed.
Today we made good time, since the
Savannah Elks was closed today, we traveled further down route 95 to
Brunswick, GA. Spending the night at a Flying J truck stop, picked
up a new road atlas, this place has everything! The plan is to gas
up tomorrow and head out for Palm Harbor, FL!!!
Those special RV fittings, only 5 dollars but very hard to find except at an RV store.
